Course Introduction
The course construction was conducted by the legendary golfer Hideyo Sugimoto himself, this was a championship course with symbiosis to nature. Kumamoto Crown Golf Club is a hilly course with natural slopes and long holes, also the ball on down-slope, ball on up-slope designs. No.4 hole at front nine was a dog-leg hole which was a short hole and easy putting, however the wide spread bunker on the left should be treated with caution. No.9 hole was a long hole with water hazard lying in front of the putting green, therefore the lie would be a key point to the game. No. 13 hole at back nine was famous, since putting green was surrounded by water hazard and it was a short hole over 180 yards, approaching putting green with par 1 would be difficult.
