Course Introduction
This course was designed by Yasuda Kokichi. Commenced in 1960, it is the first standard public golf course in Japan. The terrain is generally flat, with wide fairways that make for a very relaxed and enjoyable round of golf. The front nine features pine groves, out-of-bounds areas, and several cross bunkers with depressed areas that, if missed, can trap the ball and affect your score. The back nine fairways mostly slope to the left and right, so players need to be mindful of the ball's landing tendencies with each shot. Some holes have tall trees around the greens, which must be avoided in order to successfully approach the greens.
