The Otaru Country Club Old Course is said to be the birthplace of golf in Hokkaido.
Although the course appears flat, natural depressions create subtle undulations. Combined with the sea breeze characteristic of a links course, deep roughs, and strategically placed bunkers around the greens, the course offers a highly tactical challenge.
This is a purely handcrafted links course where visitors can experience the origins and history of Hokkaido golf, dating back to its opening in 1928.
