Shitadajo Country Club

Shimoda Castle Country Club is one of the most strategic courses in Niigata Prefecture. Although the entire site has some higher and some lower elevations, the layout of each hole is laid out along the contour lines, giving the impression that the course is flat and many holes can be played with ease. The holes are separated by bands of native trees, which puts a lot of pressure on shots. The ponds are impressive, particularly those in the centre of the 15th and 16th holes, more daunting than scenic, and the undulating greens are a challenge.
