Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Shoei, this championship course features an interesting contrast: the front nine holes remind players of Scottish links, while the back nine are surrounded by pine and other trees, creating a tropical atmosphere. The signature hole is the par-4 17th, surrounded by seven bunkers with the North Shore ocean as the backdrop. Each hole has 5 to 6 tee boxes, making the course suitable for all golfers, from advanced players to beginners. Additionally, it is well-known as the venue for tournaments such as the LPGA Tour's SBS Open and the Senior Championship, making it one of Hawaii's most popular courses.
