Course Introduction

The course was the host of the 2000 and 2001 LPGA Takefuji Classic and was named one of the 100 best courses in America by Golf Digest.

The course offers spectacular views from many holes and is popular with local golfers. The course is surrounded by black lava rock and palm trees that contrast with the ocean. There are many scenic holes such as the 2nd (par 5) facing the ocean, the 3rd (par 3) along the ocean, the 13th (par 4) where the tide rises over the ocean into the fairway, and the 17th (par 3) over a lava valley. The course is known for being unaffected by the wind, even on the ocean.
