Volcano Golf Course

Volcano Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72, 6,547-yard course. Volcano Golf Club also offers full restaurant and bar facilities. One of the most unusual courses in the world, it sits on the rim of the active Kilauea Caldera on a cool plateau at an elevation of 4,000 feet. Overlooking the Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea mountains (both of which are usually snow-capped in the winter), the air is crisp and pleasant for golfers of all abilities. Golfers looking to concentrate and relax on a tranquil course may want to try the Volcano Club. While the course is fairly flat, there are some rolling hills that can cause uneven ball placement. Almost all of the tees and some of the greens are elevated. The toughest hole on the course is the 425-yard par-4 15th, which requires a tee shot from a dogleg fairway guarded by tall pine trees.
