Course Introduction

Opened in 1993, the Makena Golf Course in the Southland area of Maui is a championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The course wraps around Hawaiian lava walls, natural streams and gullies, with many views of the Pacific Ocean and mountains. The course features four sets of tees, with the championship tees totalling 7,038 yards. The iconic 14th hole at Makena is a par 5 measuring 620 yards, the second longest golf hole in Hawaii, but is downhill the entire way.
