The flat and featured site, which is bisected by numerous water channels and bordered along one side by the Wu-Song River, challenges the designers’ creative abilities to create a course from virtually nothing. However, we will turn this condition into our advantage, using the site efficiently and expanding upon the channels to create a golf course complex both rich in beauty and strategic elements. The results are a bold and striking, yet playable golf experience.Robert Trent Jones II set the arrangement of the bunkers and water strategically not only to create appealing vision but also formulate the main hazards of the golf course. Each hole has its own arrangement with every bunker various in shape, size and orientation. Bunker and water become the visible and fixed hazards while the wind is the invisible and fluky killer.There are eight free form lakes with different sizes dotted in the golf course and connected with huge concrete pipes underneath, that makes water running in the golf course and become a landscaping attraction. It’s a wonderful feeling to listen to water passing by while playing. The driving range is sit right in front of the Starter of clubhouse and in between of Hole 1# and 18# with the longest hit distance of 380 yards. It is a real grass driving range and provides golfers a good chance to warm up their driving, pitch wedge and putters as well as to sharpen their skills. This is a course with soul; it needs courage and wisdom to conquer.
