Course Introduction
Zhongshan International Golf Club lies on the east of Purple Mountain in Nanjing with the area of 2,450,000 square meters, which is the former “Suburb Golf Course” constructed by the government of the Republic of China in 1934 for the purpose of entertaining domestic officials and foreign ambassadors. The club is well equipped with a 27-hole golf course in accordance with international tournament standards, including an 18-hole lighting golf course, 80-hitting bay, large driving range, five-star hotel, clubhouse, and high-end villas. The club enjoys excellent geographic position, as it takes only twenty minutes by car to the downtown. Known as the “Black Knight” in its industry, Gary Player blends the wonderful terrain and scenery of Purple Mountain into the golf course design, bringing every player fun and challenge. EDSA, Belt Collins and WATG, as the top international design groups, work respectively on the general planning, landscape design and clubhouse construction, thereby creating an “Emerald City” for the world. Zhongshan International Golf Club owns the permanent property rights of land which was purchased by auction so that the club members can enjoy their lifetime interests. The club sticks to the management through “membership system” and concentrates on creating noble private space so as to build up a private business club indeed.
