Course Introduction

Swinley Woods is a stunning golf course set on the famous Surrey/Berkshire sand belt. Harry Colt designed the layout of the course, which opened in 1909, and modestly described Swinley Woods as ‘the least bad course’. One of the many highlights of Swinley is its ambience, which is difficult to define but omnipresent. It's completely unassuming, without the nouveau riche glamour of its neighbouring clubs, but with more style than all the other local clubs put together.

Its layout runs through spectacular moorland landscapes surrounded by heather, pine woods, rhododendrons and azaleas. With 2 par 5s, 11 par 4s and 5 par 3s, Swinley's fairways are incredibly long and its undulating greens provide an extra test of skill for all comers. Swinley's back tees are 6,431 yards long with a par of 69.
