The course is set on one of the most magnificent links courses of its size, and the picturesque west coast of Ireland, with its variety of sizes, presents a truly diverse range of golf holes. The route takes the golfer through huge sand dunes to the higher ground of Sheephaven Bay, along the coast and then back to some more gentle dunes. With plenty of width and a variety of natural bunkers, the course is unique and unlike any course in the UK and Ireland.

Opened in 2021, the course routes each nine holes towards the shore via cushioned fairways, utilising wide, resilient fairways that curve into greens that are situated in hollows or elevated on windswept cliffs.
