Woodhall Spa Golf Club-Hotchkin

The course is built on a sandy site to the north of the village and has a typical moorland character. The course has been declared a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) by Natural England due to the significance of its surroundings, and is an excellent example of how golf and nature can work together for mutual benefit.

This moorland course is set amongst lush pine, birch and bougainvillea, making it the perfect place to play. The sandy subsoil lends itself to year-round golf and the resilient grass makes walking a real pleasure. Although not a championship course, it is extremely challenging and has hosted many prestigious national and international amateur tournaments. Many important matches have been decided on the famous 18th hole. This 540-yard par 5 represents the character of the course. A solid shot from the tee and avoiding the hazards will give you a chance to score well.
