Golden Sands Golf Resort

The Nicklaus North Course at Golden Sands Golf Resort, measuring a championship fit 7,519 yards, was created by Nicklaus Design, and is already being touted as, “truly authentic golf, a heritage course for a heritage city.” It has been set up by Nicklaus to be, “the toughest golfing challenge in Vietnam.” As such, the course is reported to be 10 shots harder than any other course in the country.

The golf, part of the Golden Sands City development located only 20 km East of the Imperial City of Hue, is sculpted into the natural, undulating dunes topography of the area, offering widows to the ocean throughout the whole round. The classical characteristics of the layout include broad, fast rolling fairways, huge greens, and distinctive torn-edged bunkering that typifies the heritage derived  from original links courses where golf began over 600 years ago.

Resort has a design concept that blends with nature, helping preserve the casuarina pines between the golf course and the coast while creating picturesque sea views from most holes. The careful selection of resilient Bermuda grass, ideal for Hue's coastal climate, ensures the course maintains its high standard year-round.The course layout is designed with the natural undulating dune typical of this area, providing sea views throughout the entire round. This classic design creates wide, fast-rolling fairways, huge greens, and distinctive and challenging bunkers.

The Clubhouse is fully equipped with five-star locker facilities, all day dining, and an extensive golf shop full of everything a golfer needs. The large patio North-East facing will form a relaxing seating area with a hint of coastal life. Fresh air and attractive views across the golf course will allow players to unwind and recall the best shots of the day.
