Rangatira Golf Club

The picturesque Rangatira course spans across three levels, offering spectacular vistas of the Rangitikei River. Lush fairways and meticulously tended greens are embraced by native foliage, providing a habitat for a wide range of bird species. Notably, the absence of bunkers sets this course apart.

Crafted by Doug Leng-Ward and inaugurated in 1964, Rangatira features a unique attraction - an electric cable car that conveniently transports players from the 18th green nestled at the bottom level back to the clubhouse on the upper tier.

Highlight holes include both the par threes on the front nine at the 4th and 8th, with the short par four 13th considered the signature hole on the course, doglegging right from the tee to a green that’s protected in front by a couple of trees – not classic golf design by any means but a really fun-filled hole nonetheless.
