Course Introduction
Lonsdale Links is located on the coastal dunes of Point Lonsdale, next to beautiful Lake Victoria. Just 90 minutes from Melbourne and 30 minutes from Geelong, the newly rebuilt course has been carefully designed to add glamour to every round, inspired by the pioneering Charles Blair Macdonald and his colleagues Seth Raynor and Charles Banks. Charles Banks.) The Ogilvy Cocking Mead-designed course is a deliberate return to the early days. The stencilled holes everywhere make it a nostalgically challenging but fun course, unique in Australia.
Next to the course is a state-of-the-art clubhouse designed by Wood Marsh Architecture. The building sits atop a hill and can be seen from all angles, appearing above the trees as golfers swing through the Bellarine Golf Course. The public has access to the clubhouse, which features a lounge, separate restaurant and children's playground, making it a place the whole family can enjoy. The golfer's lounge features an open fireplace with sunset views over Lake Victoria.
