Course Introduction
The Club is situated at the foot of the Gold Coast hinterland, just 18 kilometres from the world-famous iconic beach. Hosted the Australian Open in 2001, which was won by Australian Stuart Appleby.
The toughest hole on the front nine is the 452-yard, par-4 9th, which plays from an elevated tee to a narrow fairway with sand on the left and a drop zone with a large tree on the right. The front of the fairway is protected by water and two large bunkers are behind the largest putting surface on the course. The 13th hole on the back nine is a 413-yard, par 4 that is bisected by fairway bunkers. It must also be played over trees in the middle of the fairway before making a slight right turn to reach a tricky green, where a four-putt would be an excellent score.
