Hope Island's signature hole, the par-3 17th, is a challenge for any golfer, an experience of courage or folly. At 224 metres from the black tees and 180 metres from the white tees, and a long way across the water, many players will find it difficult to reach the green due to the prevailing headwind. As a result, golfers might consider playing it as a par 4 instead of a par 3, but then again, golf is all about making decisions.

The finishing hole is the par-5 18th, which offers magnificent views of the lake on the left and the clubhouse in the distance. With over 500 metres to go, there is still plenty to see and explore. It was a great end to an enjoyable day.
