Course Introduction
Designed by the great Greg Norman, the course is set in the rolling terrain of Sydney's Western Hills and East Creek. This world-class 18-hole championship golf course at Stonecutters Ridge aims to be one of Australia's top 100 courses.
The landscape of the course reflects its natural surroundings. Designed with three distinct landscape themes in mind, each aspect complements the overall development and provides a range of sensory experiences for players as they travel around the course.
Intimidating bunkers, challenging greens and impressive water features are all hallmarks of the Greg Norman design. Wetland areas make up the majority of the opening holes, with the short par-4 4th and 5th holes standing out in this sequence of holes. The 8th is probably the most attractive hole on the front nine, but by all means avoid the bunkers and exotic vegetation on the inside of the dogleg, from which the fairway veers to the right towards the green. The consecutive par threes on the 16th and 17th are the most noteworthy holes on the back nine. The first short hole features a green with water on the left and sand on the right, followed by the 151-metre 17th, which requires a precise tee shot and a more complexly shaped hitting surface.
