Danau Golf Club

The layout consists of tree-lined undulating fairways, large multiple tee options, huge lakes, numerous greenside bunkers and wide greens. With lengths ranging from 5,217 metres (red) to 6,357 metres (blue), the course is suitable for players of all levels. From the first tee, the beauty and challenge of this well-designed course is evident. The fairways are lined with tall, mature trees that are a marvel to behold.

Danau's best holes include the first. 360 metre par fours are downhill. A long accurate tee shot from the left side of the fairway plays well to the elevated green. The second hole, which follows, is Danao's signature hole. This 282 metre short par 4 winds uphill to an undulating green protected by deep bunkers. To make par, one must hit the ball perfectly to the almost invisible green. Otherwise, three putts are bound to swallow bogey.

The two standout holes on the back nine are the 12th and 18th. The former is a par 5 with an island tee that requires a hard drive to get the ball out of the water and cannot hit the out-of-bounds ball on the right. In other words, a perfect tee shot is the only shot that can be hit. On the final hole, golfers need to get through a small hole and hit to a green protected by four large bunkers. Not only is the approach difficult, but the green has three tiers, and a wrong tier is a sure way to three-putt or worse.
