Wauchope Country Club

The Club is an 18-hole championship course located 25 kilometres west of Port Macquarie on the lower north coast of New South Wales.The par 71 fairways are undulating and many are lined with tall trees. The Worshope course is not long by any means. Accuracy of distance is the key to a good score here.

The course features many bunkers and has several strategically placed water hazards waiting for a missed shot. The greens here are among the best around. Although small, they are well proportioned. If the locals offer advice, take it. Choosing the ideal route is an art.

Worshope Country Club has several good holes. Hole 11: A medium-length par 5 with a blind second shot and water lurking, ready to intercept an errant approach. The 17th hole has the right side of the fairway covered with hazards, and the best option is to choose the left side of the fairway. The 18th is a great finishing hole for a par 3. At just 142 metres, it's not long, but it does require dealing with water, sand and a couple of tall eucalyptus trees.
