The 27-hole Hsing Fu Golf Club is popular with long hitters, especially the West Course, which boasts three par fives, two of them back to back on the 8th and 9th. Of these, the 501-yard 9th is the most challenging of the course. If your drive is long enough and you’re brave or optimistic enough, you might want to try to reach the green in two. However, there is deep ravine with a water hazard in front of the green and if you land 15 yards or more short, you could find yourself watching helplessly as your ball rolls backwards down the steep slope to a watery grave. Even if you avoid the ravine, you’ve got bunkers on both sides of the green to contend with; all in all, a great challenge for long hitters.
