Chung Shan Hot Spring Golf New Course (Jenny Goss)

Chung Shan's original 18 holes, which opened in 1984, were designed by Palmer. A course which requires precise shot-making, it has successfully staged numerous top-level tournaments, most notable the Alfred Dunhill Cup Asia-Pacific qualifier in 1988 as well as several China Open amateur championship for men and women. A second 18-hole layout-built on an 80 hectare site on the eastern side of the Palmer course - designed by Nicklaus opened in November 1993 and is widely regarded as the finest all-round test of golf in China. In addition to being the base for China's first generation of home-grown golfers, Chung Shan has continued to be at the fore-front of promoting and developing golf in the country. From Hong Kong the club is easily accessible via both Macau and Zhuhai. The trip takes less than two hours.
