Course Introduction
Broome Golf Club was established in 1967 as the Roe Deer Bay Golf Club and in 1992 the club was renamed to the current Broome Golf Club.
The unique setting and superb views have been at the heart of the club since 1967. Originally operating on a small custom-built spherical structure with sand fairways and greens, the club has evolved into a high quality grass golf course, offering excellent catering and membership facilities and breathtaking 360-degree views from Roe Deer Bay to the Indian Ocean. The Broome Golf Club is constantly evolving and hosts regular tournaments with junior and ladies programmes.
Broome Golf Club has made an outstanding contribution to the game of golf in Western Australia and Australia, hosting numerous amateur and professional golf tournaments. The tournaments held annually attract golfers from Western Australia and Australia to the region.
Highlights include the short dogleg left par 4 2nd; the 148 metre 7th, the first (and shortest) of four par 3s; the long, narrow par 4 10th (rated par 1); back to back par 5s on the 16th and 17th; and the 180 metre finishing hole, which returns players to the cosy little clubhouse neighbourhood by the beach.
