Course Introduction
The Capel Golf Club is one of Western Australia's premier golf courses, featuring a picturesque 18-hole golf course and 10 floodlit indoor driving ranges. This membership course hosts weekly tournaments and welcomes green fee players and golf groups. The club is the gateway to golf in the South West and is situated in the Choclafield wine region, just 10 minutes south of Banbury.
Originally designed by Murray Dawson in the early 1960's, the course began as a 9-hole sand course and has since been upgraded to an 18-hole championship grass course. With narrow tree-lined fairways, partially raised greens and strategically placed bunkers, the course offers a challenge for golfers of all levels.
With lush bench fairways and carpeted Bentgrass greens lined with Jarrah, Eucalyptus, Banksia and Peppermint Eucalyptus, the course has always been a picture of a strong kangaroo population of around 200 and native birdlife.
