Course Introduction

The 18-hole layout at Dunsborough Lakes Golf Club is set out as two large loops of nine holes that are routed around a substantial residential development, with water providing the main challenge over the home stretch, starting at the 15th.

Opened for play in 1993, the layout extends to 6,200 metres from the tips, with an unusual back nine configuration of three par threes, three par fours and three par fives. Water also plays a large part in proceedings during the outward half, with aquatic hazards appearing at four of the holes.

Highlights here include both par threes on the front nine: the 157-metre 5th plays to a sand-protected green with a pond further to the left, whilst the 167-metre 7th features water to the right, left and rear of the putting surface. The round is concluded with an intimidating long par four that features water all the way along one side of the fairway to the green, fully meriting its stroke index 1 rating.
