Waitikiri Golf Club

The club is located in the eastern part of Christchurch, 10 kilometres from the city centre and easily accessible from the airport and main roads. Waitikiri is a highly distinctive and challenging parkland course that offers the most enjoyable golfing experience for golfers of all levels. The layout of the course is based on English golf course design and features a wooded parkland setting with colourful trees.

A feature of the course is the lush fairways lined with native and exotic trees and shrubs. The greens are subtly undulating and the bunkers are cleverly laid out. Multiple dogleg holes are both a visual treat and a challenge to the game.

The four par 3s are popular with golfers. The 3rd and 9th holes require a long, precise shot with no room for error. The 12th and 17th holes are shorter and require a precise tee shot to hit the well-defended greens.

The three par 5s have different fairway conditions and layouts. The highlight of the fourth hole is the well-designed green. The tenth is a risky and rewarding par five where long hitters may have a chance to get close, but beware of the difficulty of getting up and down when the ball is off to the left or right. The eleventh hole has a winding fairway with a high difficulty factor.
