Course Introduction
Lake Taieri - an 18-hole championship course just minutes from Dunedin. Located 15 minutes south of the Octagon, Lake Taieri is sheltered from the city's northeasterly winds, offering a unique golfing experience with temperatures typically 3-4 degrees Celsius warmer than central Dunedin.
Designed by Royal Navy Commander John Dering Harris, this par 72 course stretches 5,924 metres across the scenic North Taieri countryside. With tree-lined fairways and four tranquil lakes, it is both beautiful and challenging, making the most of the area's natural landscape.
Originally built in 1920 and moved to its current location in 1969, the course has grown to become one of the region's premier courses. The course's appeal has recently been further enhanced with the addition of two holes around the newly constructed lakes (completed in December 2020).
