Course Introduction

Adjacent to Wellington Airport, Miramar Golf Club is a redesigned course by renowned Australian designer Graham Marsh. 70 par, 102 bunkers. Featured holes include the first short hole (‘Coates Fancy’) on the 149 metre long 6th hole, and two short par 4s on the back nine, on the 12th (‘Moa's Corner’) and 14th (‘The Peak’).

In 1926 and 1939 Miramar hosted the annual National Golf Championships, which determined the winners of the New Zealand Amateur Championship, the New Zealand Open and the New Zealand PGA Championship, before the Amateur Championship returned to the club in 1965. The New Zealand Women's Amateur Championship has also been held here on four occasions, the first back in 1896.
