Course Introduction
Anyang Country Club, founded in 1968, aimed to create a new course comparable to top golf courses in Europe, Japan, and North America (designed by Japanese architect Chohei Miyazawa). Therefore, the course is widely considered the golfing heart of South Korea. The course winds through dense forests, showcasing vibrant colors throughout the seasons.
Robert Trent Jones Jr. was invited to renovate the course; in 1997, a completely new, more challenging, and strategic course was reborn. Amazingly, the course is planted with its unique grass species—Anyang Green Grass—which grows densely and upright, allowing the ball to land firmly on the tip of the grass.
