Course Introduction

Monbala International Golf Club was invested and built by Yunnan Horon Group. Beijing Route Management Co. supervised the construction and now is managing and operating the whole golf club. The club is located in Menghai County, which is famous for tea in Yunnan Province, and called “Banna Spring Dream”. In Dai language, Menghai means “The place for brave ones”. Menghai is renowned Home of Pu’er Tea all over the world. The altitude ranges from 1,180m to 1,250m, Menghai is famous for climate that it is not freezing in winter and hot in summer and with plenty of rainfall. The average temperatures is 18.1oC, so it is called ‘Natural Greenhouse’.
There are 45 holes on the master plan, and 18 holes are opened on a trial basis. The 7,414-yard course was designed by respected Canadian course design company Davidson Golf Design Ltd. The course design followed the principle of preserving the original appearance of the land and makes full use of the original land forms and natural ecology. The course is surrounded by mountains, covered by lush vegetation and decorated by dense bunkers like stars in the night sky. The fairways rise and fall sharply, with max. 70m difference of elevation. The course is a typical mountain golf course. The differences in elevation increase the challenge and create more funs.
