TOP1. Half Moon Bay

1. Hanlefang Night Market: It is open from about 5pm to about 12pm every day. It is super lively. It is recommended to go there every night! The most recommended ones are the iron plate shrimp paste, wheel cake, and Laotian iced coffee!

2. Oyster Burger·Asia Oyster Company (seafood/barbecue): It is near Xingfumen. The seafood is very fresh, especially the oysters are large and the meat is plump. The barbecue and beer are also very good!

3. Weijia Korean Jjajangmyeon: A small shop in Hanlefang, it is so delicious that you cry. The average 101 bowls of Korean-style noodles are served with cold seafood. It is really delicious. The most recommended is the special cold noodles at 9r a bowl. It is absolutely amazing!

4. Gaoji Wuchunchuan Fried Chicken Steak: It is in Hanlefang. It is delicious and the quantity is large. It is very popular. Generally, you have to queue for a while to eat it. You must go early.

5. Specialties: Try the fresh figs sold on the roadside. If you want to take them back, you can buy small fish and dried figs!

6. Octopus House: Spicy grilled octopus and Andong stewed chicken, super delicious Korean flavor.

7. Thatched House Cold Noodle Shop: Korean and Chinese food, highly recommended.

8. Baina Xiaoziwei: Jiaodong specialty restaurant, must try this one when you come to Weihai.

Transportation Suggestions

1. Airplane: Weihai Dashuibo International Airport, airport bus 20r/person.

2. Train/High-speed Rail: Weihai Station is very close to Hanlefang, and Weihai North Station is very close to the International Bathing Beach.

3. Taxi: The starting price during the day is 8r/2km, the unit price for 2-8km is 1.5r/km, and 2r yuan/km for more than 8km (including 8km).

4. Car rental/self-driving: Electric cars and cars are available for rent, but reservations must be made in advance!

5. Bus: The fare is 1-1.5r, and bus No. 46 is renamed "Qiaoxiang Panoramic Sightseeing Bus" and does not operate in winter.

1. Convenient for sea viewing - B&Bs by the sea

B&Bs or hotels near the International Bathing Beach, Golden Beach, Grape Beach, Heqing Half Moon Bay, China Resources Bay Jiuli, Blue Sea Yuhua, and Huafa can all be referenced. 

2. Convenient for food, accommodation and transportation

Weigao Plaza Business District (first choice, the city center of Weihai, close to Huanhai Road and various check-in points in the city, not too far or too close)

Han Le Fang Business District (close to the lighthouse and the big photo frame, if you want to go to Naxianghai, Jiming Island and the zoo, you can consider living nearby) 

Shanda and Liqun Business District (not far from the city center, very close to the International Beach, Xiaoshidao Sunset, and Ou Le Fang Night Market)

Shopping Recommendations

1. Wenhua Mingju Antique Market: Located in the Pian Gao District of Huancui District, it is only open every Saturday from 5 am to 12 noon. You can find antique items full of Jiaodong folk customs within 100 yuan, and you can easily get out-of-print old books.

2. Weihai Small Commodity Wholesale: Next to the antique market, Weihai's oldest small commodity wholesale market (most of the shells sold on the beach are wholesaled here). You can buy seafood, snacks, pearls, shells and stationery on the first floor; swimsuits and beach toys on the second floor; some handicrafts on the third floor. There are also super-large socks, hats, and luggage specialty stores hidden on each floor.

3. Dashijie Foreign Trade Street: Once upon a time, this place was full of women's clothing foreign trade tail orders left over from exports. Each store was very small, even less than 10 square meters, but the goods were very rich, and each store also had its own tone. I especially recommend the jeans here, which are cheap and of good quality. Other categories need to be searched.

4. Xinwei Fu Road: A century-old street with a lot of personality. There are second-hand film stores, intangible cultural heritage experience halls, French desserts, Weihai-style souvenirs with the theme of steamed bun culture, and cultural and creative stores with a lot of stamps.

Notes

1. If you want to take bus No. 46, be sure to check the time of the last bus in advance and remember to queue up in advance.

2. Friends who are allergic to seafood can prepare allergy medicine in advance to avoid physical discomfort and affect the experience of playing.

3. It is not recommended to check in at any seaside food stalls. They are all rip-offs for tourists. The prices are expensive, and most of them are not delicious.

4. Before coming to Weihai, be sure to check the local weather forecast. Weihai on a sunny day has beautiful scenery, and it is not easy to take pictures in Weihai on a cloudy day. 5. If you have enough time, you can spend 2r to take a sea sightseeing bus. It is really super romantic!

6. When playing water activities at the seaside, don’t go deep into the water. It is very easy to have dangerous accidents. Be sure to pay attention to personal safety!

7. The operating hours on the island are not fixed. Everyone must call in advance to ask before going to the island!

8. The ultraviolet rays at the seaside are relatively strong. Be sure to take sunscreen to avoid tanning or sunburn, and also pay attention to the temperature difference between morning and evening.
