Located in the Kelan Valley area, approximately 40-50 minutes from Kuala Lumpur Airport, Glenmary Golf Course boasts impeccable condition and stunning scenery, making it one of Malaysia's top ten golf courses.

Originally a rubber plantation dedicated to oil palm production, Glenmary has been transformed into the semi-private Kuala Lumpur Golf Course, equipped with locker rooms, a sauna, and a golf academy. The rolling terrain and moderate elevation differences of the former rubber plantation create an ideal golfing terrain.

Glen Marie features two adjacent courses separated by wooded fairways. Designed by renowned American architect Max Wexler, these two 18-hole courses share a common philosophy, yet offer distinctly different landscapes, offering golfers a double dose of enjoyment.

The 36-hole course consists of the relatively flat Garden Course and the strategically located Valley Course. Both courses offer stunning scenery and a variety of challenges, ensuring a dynamic golfing experience for all skill levels. In January 2018, the course hosted the EurAsia Cup, a tournament between European and Asian teams.

The Garden Course, at 6,432 meters, is slightly longer than the Valley Course, at 6,325 meters. Golf carts are mandatory, but caddie service is optional. The Garden Course boasts stunning natural scenery, with lakes attracting migratory birds, and with luck, you might even spot swans and blackbirds.

A major renovation of the greens, bunkers, tees, and fairways in 2010 significantly enhanced its strategic location. Small ponds dot the lowlands, forming a bowl-shaped terrain with gentle slopes leading to the ponds. The holes are widely spaced, ensuring minimal crossover between players. While the first two holes of the Garden Course present a challenge surrounded by ponds, it's not uncommon.

The true test of golf lies on the subsequent holes, the 5th (par 4) and 12th (par 5)—two challenging holes that require crossing ponds. The greens are wide, rolling, and fast, surrounded by numerous deep bunkers. The Canyon Course lives up to its name, offering breathtaking canyon scenery enhanced by winding tributaries among the hills. The canyon's undulating terrain is characterized by artificial ponds on most holes, punctuated by strong winds.

However, only holes 5 and 6 require crossing water hazards. The par-5 4th presents the most demanding challenge. Avoid the stream with your tee shot, and aim for the island green with your approach. More than the scattered water hazards, the golf course requires more caution regarding the uneven teeing areas, obstructed views, and the greens themselves, which require a variety of approaches. Fairways divided by shrubs can be challenging to find, but the tree-lined valley course evokes an orchard-like feel. While the bunkers are slightly farther from the greens, the surrounding semi-rough presents a significant threat, making them a safe haven.

The clubhouse features a 50-meter swimming pool, tennis courts, squash courts, and a children's playground.

The Glenmarie Hotel & Golf Resort is an accompanying hotel. A one-night, two-course package is a good option.
