Spring City Golf & Lake Resort is located in Tangchi Town, Yiliang County, Kunming, Yunnan Province, on the north shore of Yangzonghai Lake. It's about a 30-minute drive from downtown Kunming and about an hour's drive from Changshui International Airport.

Hidden amidst the mountains and water are two 18-hole championship-level courses that have captivated golfers worldwide: 

The Mountain View Course, designed by "Golden Bear" Jack Nicklaus, is situated on a high slope along the shore of Yangzonghai Lake, offering a spacious, picturesque, and tranquil experience; 

The Lake View Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., encircles Yangzonghai Lake, featuring narrow fairways, intricate ravines, strong lake winds, and terraced greens that are both loved and “hated”.

But today we're not talking about the T-shaped green or the A-side bunker, but rather the pink archway on the third floor of the golf club.

RITUALS.SPA: Starting with a Pink Archway

Walk across the course, past the Eagle's Nest restaurant, take the elevator to the third floor—and you'll see it from afar.

A dark green, three-dimensional moss wall supports the entire entrance, so vibrant it's as if the forest of Yangzonghai Beach has been brought directly indoors. Embedded in front of the wall is an incredibly gentle pink archway, with the understated metal lettering "RITUALS.SPA" above the arch.

Inside the archway is a warm yellow glow and a long herringbone wooden floor. The wall-washing lights on either side of the entrance cast long shadows—even before stepping inside, your shoulders already feel heavy.

Pushing open the door reveals a completely different world

Entering the SPA, the space instantly transforms from bright to a gentle, warm hue: 

The walls are a warm, light wood color with delicate grain; 

the floor is covered in herringbone wood flooring, creaking softly underfoot; 

green moss-covered pillars echoing the entrance line the corridor, each with a small candle at its base, their flickering light seemingly guiding the way; 

at the far end hangs a white gauze curtain, behind which shines a warm yellow light—the door to the massage rooms.

Reception Area: A Long Wooden Table and Welcome Tea

The reception area is a full-walled wooden niche, with concealed lighting strips casting warm light along the wooden lattice, creating an atmosphere more like a high-end tea room than a spa counter. A deer sculpture sits on the counter, next to a handwritten price list.

On the right is the most captivating spot—a long wooden table made from a single piece of wood, the bark preserved, as if it had been carried directly from the forests of Yangzonghai. A tea table is set with celadon cups and a large purple clay teapot; several wooden armchairs with gray cushions provide a space for guests to wait or relax after treatment. Guests are greeted with a warm cup of welcoming tea, its delicate floral aroma filling the air. A tea master quietly boils and pours the tea at the far end of the long table, creating an illusion of time slowing down.

Therapy Room: White Gauze Canopy and Orchids

The therapy room is decorated primarily in warm wood tones, apricot, and white, with no cold lighting. The bedding is off-white, with a neat apricot-pink decorative ribbon at the foot of the bed, and a small bunch of purple orchids in the center. A white gauze canopy hangs above the bed, its warm light projected from the ceiling light troughs, making the room feel like it's enveloped in soft clouds. A frosted wall lamp is embedded in the wooden headboard, casting diffused, non-piercing light. The dressing area and shower room are equipped with bathrobes, slippers, and towels, catering to those who wish to immediately relax after treatment.

The foot reflexology treatment utilizes a public rest area—a row of gray massage chairs with sheer curtains, arranged around wooden pillars. The curtains partially conceal the massage, and the lighting is a warm, apricot-colored, creating a quiet and private atmosphere.

Spring City SPA's Signature Services

Spring City SPA's signature services include aromatherapy, Thai massage, Chinese massage, and foot reflexology.

Thai Massage: A passive, yoga-like stretch with a range of motion exceeding expectations, as if the entire spine is being recalibrated.

Chinese Massage: A steady, gentle massage that gradually loosens knots between the shoulder blades caused by pressure from the ball.

Foot Reflexology: From bottom to top, the fatigue from walking and standing throughout the day is relieved from the soles of the feet.
