Opened in February 2010, Yunnan Sipsongpanna Elephant Golf Club is a comprehensivegolf resort integratinggolf, business, match and cater. It is also the first golf course located in tropical forest in China. The club is situated in Sipsongpannacity which is honored as“Kingdom of Plants”, “Kingdom of Animal”, and “Kingdom of drugs”, with comfortable climate andfantastic scenery.

Monbala International Golf Club was invested and built by Yunnan Horon Group. Beijing Route Management Co. supervised the construction and now is managing and operating the whole golf club. The club is located in Menghai County, which is famous for tea in Yunnan Province, and called “Banna Spring Dream”. In Dai language, Menghai means “The place for brave ones”. Menghai is renowned Home of Pu’er Tea all over the world. The altitude ranges from 1,180m to 1,250m, Menghai is famous for climate that it is not freezing in winter and hot in summer and with plenty of rainfall. The average temperatures is 18.1oC, so it is called ‘Natural Greenhouse’.
There are 45 holes on the master plan, and 18 holes are opened on a trial basis. The 7,414-yard course was designed by respected Canadian course design company Davidson Golf Design Ltd. The course design followed the principle of preserving the original appearance of the land and makes full use of the original land forms and natural ecology. The course is surrounded by mountains, covered by lush vegetation and decorated by dense bunkers like stars in the night sky. The fairways rise and fall sharply, with max. 70m difference of elevation. The course is a typical mountain golf course. The differences in elevation increase the challenge and create more funs.

The golf course provided by Empark Grand Hotel Xishuangbanna is the second golf course of the Empark Group. Designed by Mr. Roger Parkard, an internationally renowned American golf course designer, the golf course is located in the Xishuangbanna Riverside orchard refuge in the cold mountain resort, only 15 minutes drive from the airport. As a 27-hole international golf course,it is surrounded by mountains and rivers. It not only retains the natural landscape features, but also uses naturally formed rocks, artificially cultivated fruit trees, artificial lakes, etc., to decorate its fairways.
