Today we are going to bring you a whisky distillery with a mysterious birthplace that attracts the most people from all over the world to visit. It's Glengoyne, the incredibly smooth Glengoyne Whisky, whose distillery is surrounded by mountains and a natural environment that contains springs that run through rolling valleys. Glengoyne is a small distillery and is characterised at its core by its light body, grassy notes and fruity flavours. The combination with sherry casks is perfect, allowing older vintages to be full and rounded. The pleasing character of Glengoyne has made it even more sought after by enthusiasts around the world. The latest Scotch Whisky Association statistics show that the number of annual visits to Scotland's distilleries has reached 1.5 million, with only three distilleries having more than 60,000 people visiting them, including Glengoyne. Even more interestingly, Glengoyne is the only distillery built on the border between the Highlands and the Lowlands.
